WeCare Eye Group was founded out of a desire to make a difference in the local community. Dr. Colonna, O.D. and Dr. Ormando, O.D. — co-founders of WeCare Eye Group — saw a need for quality, community-centered, and family-focused eye care.
In 2001, fresh out of optometry school and armed with a staff of just two optometrists (and one part-time retired optometrist), Dr. Colonna and Dr. Ormando opened up the doors to WeCare Eye Group’s first 3,000-square-foot optometry office, Westminster Eyecare Associates, located in the heart of beautiful Providence, Rhode Island.
What began as a small community eye clinic has since blossomed into a trio of three expansive locations. WeCare now serves over 600,000 patients a year.
Yet we remain true to our roots and never forget our humble beginnings. Our team is just as passionate as day one about providing exceptional eye care services and warm customer service to every patient who walks through our doors.
